          <description>Senior Structural Engineer - Renewable Energy

There are permanent positions available for Senior Structural Engineers within our clients Warrington Office or London or Glasgow locations.

Salary range £35k to £45k depending on experience.

We are looking for people who design wind turbine foundations, monopiles, and the towers
Current workload concerns offshore structures 

The current positions are in the Renewable Energy Sector.

Successful candidates are expected to have as a minimum:

*	Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering. 
*	CEng, IStructE or equivalent 
*	Design experience for Wind Turbine structures
*	Good communication skills and client facing
*	More than 5 years relevant experience

Further to the above, successful candidates are expected to have most of the following attributes:

*	General structural engineering
*	Extreme load assessment 
*	Finite Element Modelling
*	Familiarity with Non-destructive testing techniques
*	Fatigue assessment
*	Fracture assessment

Company Castings is a part of Company Nacelle which manufactures the housing on top of the Wind Turbine. Company Foundry Technology is the Technology and Production Engineering department of Company Casting with responsibility for development projects on casted items, production technology and process development and alignment across our 5 foundries. The 5 foundries are located in Norway, Sweden, Germany and China. The department currently consists of 16 technicians based in Kristiansand, Norway. Company Foundry Technology is expected to expand both in number of employees as well as geographical to Copenhagen and/ or Magdeburg.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
?	New Product development;
?	Foundry processes and technology development;
?	Technology transfers;
?	Foundry plant design and development;
?	Production Engineering;
?	Change Management;
?	Production Master Documentation;
?	Strategic Project Management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
?	You have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Technology related areas;
?	If you have an education in foundry technology, materials, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering fields it is preferred;
?	You have preferable iron foundry and/ or hand moulding knowledge and experience, but experience from other related industries are also interesting;
?	You hold a Management Education and have experience of Management through other leaders;
?	You have international experience as well as experience and understanding of Change Management in different cultures;
?	You are as a person on the same time creative, persistent, team player, good communicator and get tings done.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
?	Primary work location is Kristiansand, Copenhagen or Magdeburg. Travelling around 80 - 120 days per year is to be expected.
